Recently, I have been inspired by the work of Karl Blossfeldt, an early-twentieth century German photographer who specialised in magnification of plant forms. I spent some time in 2020 making drawings based upon his work and began to express these ideas in embroidery. I have also been influenced by the ceramics work of Birger Kaipiainen.
